Signs of the Times

This is a place where kids like my daughter who has autism can be given hope and chance to belong to a world that is not perfect. A place where they are perfect children in their own right.

A reminder that we’re inside. A door that separates us from the “normal” world. In whose eyes, may I ask?

Leave your shoes at the door so as not to bring the dirt to this almost sterile place

And just like obedient disciples, we follow.

Bench and chairs at the waiting area. What do we wait for? Time, people, a chance to be better

A reminder and announcement board. Just to keep everything in its place and everything in order.

A message of cleanliness. There’s truth to the saying, “Cleanliness is next to Godliness.” God’s little angels are inside this haven.

And just like anywhere else, this haven has off limits area.

And a prohibited area…

Pizza Camp

My friend & I at Pizza Camp

We met a few more and they were all fun

Oh, these grown-ups!!!Always telling us what to do. As if they know everything. They don’t even have a clue.

And they always pinch my cheeks…

I’m hungry. Can we start now before I eat all these ingredients?

Ok, everyone’s getting ready.

This is so easy. I should have a career in pizza-making.

Attempted Murder

The assignment:

Conceal blemishes and dark circles.
Correctly apply eyeshadow and eyeliner.
Create full lips.
Apply false eyelashes

Nars, Mac, Clinique, Bobbi Brown brushes, Clarins Lipsticks…
It takes a lot to do the job.

Problem….forgot glue for the falsies

But happy anyway. With the boyfie. He needed concealer too. But no time anymore.

The victim got away. Satisfied? I dunno. I hope. After a long hiatus, I think I can still do a decent job. Anyone else who needs a make-up killer-for-hire?

A Car With A View

Car Travel

Every car travel starts with the key in the ignition

a firm grip on the steering wheel and

a sleepy and reluctant passenger.

Turn on the air-conditioning then off you go.

Begin your journey with optimism.

A little obstacle encountered along the way

Means nothing when McDonald’s is always there.

Finally, the end of your journey.

And take a picture, you still have energy.

This is how my bookshelves would look like. I just don’t know if I could fit all my books in those many holes. I guess I would have to give up some of the books I have considering I would soon move into a much smaller place. This is the consequence of condo living.

Renovation/Construction Update:

The past week mainly involved putting up and finishing the partitions upstairs, building a sink/wash area and extra cabinet and storage at the balcony. The contractor also had to realign the stairs and replace some of the wood planks.
