The first and the only Sunday Market I’ve gone to so far. For one it’s very near our place. Second, it’s very near our place. Yep, that’s the only reason. I’ve been planning to go to Salcedo Weekend Market and Mercato Centrale but both are located just 10,000 miles from our place. Ok, that’s an exaggeration. The thing about Weekend Markets is you have to be there early. Otherwise, you won’t enjoy shopping and trying out the food. They are not air-conditioned and it gets too hot around 10am. Who would want to eat and shop around under the extreme heat of the summer sun? Aside from that, we get up a little late than usual because it’s the weekend. It’s nice to sleep a little longer and sleep late prior.
But there are some good finds at SIDCOR. I always go to Mary’s Kitchen for the pasta and Chicken Cordon Bleu. There are also a lot of concessionaires selling Filipino food so I almost always bring home Laing, Kuhol and Maalat na Itlog whenever I go there. There are organic goods too such as juices, vegetables, breads and coffee.
Our last visit there was in February and it felt like we were on the beach or something. It was so unbearably hot. It was clear from this picture below that she was not enjoying this at all.

SIDCOR Sunday Market is located at Centris Mall along EDSA and corner of Quezon Avenue. Sorry I set the wrong date again. It should have been 2011.
